Principal's Message
If we want a competitive economy and an open society, we need the best and brightest to succeed. We must work hard to grow the social intelligence of our poor.
At SRVDUPS, we have decided to globalize our students, participating at Schools Online by British Council. This activity helps us send our students abroad, on a Schools Exchange program, funded by British Council.
Poor live in impoverished neighbourhoods that keep them disconnected from opportunities. Poor kids who do everything right don’t do better than rich kids who do everything wrong. This inequality starts in the crib. Rich parents can afford to spend more time and money on their kids. Our school shall level the Opportunity Playground, leveraging Digital Technologies and connected learning!
Digital learning technologies can supplement and complement our day-to-day practices, serving ideally as a catalyst for deep learning rather than a repetition of the transfer of information. The interplay of human capacity for judgement of complex and chaotic situations with the computational power of learning and data analytics offer real opportunities for a new vision and practice in higher education.
SRVDUPS teachers understand the frustrating reality that most faculty have neither the expertise, experience, nor incentive to rethink and revise their daily teaching in substantial ways. My teachers have agreed to work together towards professional development and to globalize our students.
SRVDUPS has started their e-Learning Journey. Our students are on to Project Based Learning. They are the MBA* crowd, social marketing live, through a plan to export their produce. We support the students team in their Export Venture.
Our Mentor is Sebastian Panakal, a contender for the Global Teacher Prize.
SRVDUPS embark on their e-Learning Journey on 1 December 2016, World AIDS Day.
